Delighted with the Portofino crib — beautiful, safe and very practical
I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. The Portofino crib exceeded all my expectations. It arrived very well packaged, all the pieces were included, and assembly was easy thanks to the clear instructions. The design is beautiful, elegant, and matches the baby’s room perfectly. It’s clearly made with excellent quality materials, very sturdy and safe, which gives me great peace of mind. In addition, the side compartments and the built-in changing table are super practical and make it incredibly easy to keep everything within reach. My baby sleeps very comfortably, and the crib looks brand new even after several months of use. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this purchase. It’s worth every penny!

    a great crib!
I purchased a white one. Took My Husband and I about an hour to put it together, but overall very well-made & the instructions although, overwhelming, they made sense and were easy enough to put together. Our box came with a slight dent in it, but did not damage any of the actual crib. Definitely a space saver! Would highly recommend.

A fantastic crib and changer at a fantastic price
This was very easy for my husband to assemble and looks just as beautiful as in the photo. The espresso color matches our black-brown wooden furniture perfectly; it’s a wonderful addition to our bedroom, and all the storage space it comes with (drawers in the front of the changer and shelving in the back) means not having to use any closet or dresser space for baby’s things, and still having room for toys! The crib itself is very sturdy, but the changing table unfortunately won’t support more than about 35 lbs of weight. Hopefully by then the little one is potty-trained anyway, but we’re still going to err on the side of caution and stop using the top part of the storage compartment as a changer before then. The other issue we had with the changing station is that, as other reviewers have mentioned, the changing pad that comes with the crib is very hard and unpleasant, but it is very difficult to find a different pad to replace it that will actually fit on the changing table. Our solution was to simply “make” the Summer Infant Contoured Changing Pad (which I highly recommend — it is very squishy and the covers are very soft and come in loads of colors) fit. With the bottom of the changing pad lined up with the bottom of the changing table (that little gap is too small for a changing pad to squish out of), we pushed the Summer Infant changing pad down so it was lying on the bottom of the changing table, which leaves about five inches extra in length curving upwards along the top. The result is basically a little elevation for the little one’s head, like a gentle pillow. This works just fine for me, since I wasn’t enthusiastic about baby potentially hitting his head on the bars in the back, and it still looks great.Overall these are such minor complaints compared to how awesome this crib is overall. You really can’t beat the price for getting four children’s beds, a dresser, a bookshelf, and a changing table all in one, especially with the quality with which it was designed. I spent months shopping around for just the right crib at just the right price and I am very, very happy with the result.

Great Crib, rivals anything you’ll find in stores
After shopping for cribs at a couple baby centric stores and places like Target, I came across this and for the price I could not turn it down. I was thrilled at the fact that it had a changing table/drawers which have come in handly more times than i can count. The crib is sturdy and looks very nice in our baby’s room. The finish is respectable, and none of the pieces felt flimsy.Set up was a bit of a pain, but nothing too complicated, though I definatley recommend having a helper for attaching the main componets together – by that I mean, putting the sides together or when you have to screw on the base that holds the mattress. I’ll just give a touch of insight into my own personal experience, so we received this crib in late spring/early summer, but chose not to build it right away due to the fact that we were moving from our small apartment to a townhouse since we were in need of extra space. By the time I got to actually sitting and setting up the crib it was the end of July and the hottest part of the summer. By then I had moved the box that this came in aat least 4 times, incuding up a steep hill and up and down many flights of stairs, so I knew the materials were at least of a good quality. When i opened the box I was greeted by the directions and then all the pieces and parts I would need. The only problem that came up was that I decided to do this in the heat of summer, in a room without the A/C or fan on, so it was a uncomfortable. The moral of all this is to say the crib itself is great, and the only problem I ran into was due to my own stubbornness in not trying to cool myself off.Speaking of the base, that is a great feature, you can adjust the base that holds the mattress up and down to several locations. This helps if you’re a shorter person (like my wife) or possibly had a c-section and can’t bend over too far.

We found this crib on Sears website and really liked it because the change table was straight instead of the more common side changing setup. Obviously we checked around to see if it was cheaper somewhere else and found it here on Amazon.Like a lot of the other great reviews on this crib/change table, it came in a pretty beat up package but the way it was double boxed and wrapped in foam and packed with styrofoam, nothing was damaged. All the pieces were there as well. It’s actually made from solid wood and is very sturdy. I like to think that I’m decently good at assembling things and this thing took about 3 hours to put together. The instructions were pretty good but I did get ahead of myself on a few pages and had to disassemble a step or two. Make sure you do it exactly as it shows…do not try to assemble without instructions! In the picture you can see open holes everywhere and it looks like you can see all of the screws and bolts and what-not but when it’s assembled it looks better than the picture. It comes with a change table pad. It’s a bit thin (so my wife says) but as a guy it looks like it should do the trick just fine.If anyone is curious, it does not come with a mattress but it fits your regular Walmart size crib/baby mattress. You can adjust the height of the mattress with a little effort. The top setting would/will be perfect for a newborn. I can see when the child gets a bit older that they’ll want to start climbing onto the change table part of this crib so that’s something to consider if you think you’ll have an energetic little one!It does work to JUST have the crib or JUST the change table but you can’t have both separately. If you want just the crib, you have to use one of the walls from the change table which has a bunch of drawer sliders attached to it and I personally think it would look quite ugly unless you had that side against a wall or something. On the right hand side there’s shelves you can install for extra storage (behind the drawers)There are instructions to turn the thing into a bed with the half wall, and also use the two railing pieces to turn the bed into a bed with an actual mattress but you would still need to buy a frame for the mattress. You could only use the railings for a headboard and footboard (footboard?). It comes with everything else that you need to do the conversions.Overall this thing is BEAUTIFUL. I love it, my wife loves it, and our newest addition to the family is sure to love it. You won’t find a better crib at this price. Just be aware, it’s big. Overall 5 stars easily!

Ordered this crib after reading many online reviews. I will update once I’ve had a chance to use it, but all pieces arrived unbroken/scratched. Assembly took a while, but the instructions weren’t too hard to follow. The crib is very solid once put together. I had read many reviews stating that there was a “smell”, however I can say that my crib only smells like wood, there is no bad chemical smell! The change table is larger than I had expected given all the reviews of it being very small. The front piece of wood on the change table can be removed to allow baby to stretch out his/her legs. So excited to get to use this crib, it looks/feels amazing!

Sturdy and compact! I just finished building this crib, it took under 2 hours which was shorter than expected from all the other posts on amazon. The crib is sturdy and does not take up a lot of room which is nice to have the crib and change table in one. Shipping was fast and all the pieces were in great shape. I love how they give you all the future conversion parts in with the crib and they are not extra. Crib is sturdy, we feel we are set for the foreseeable crib needs. Highly recommended purchase!

This crib is easily worth double maybe even triple in local “baby” furniture stores.me and my wife went crib shopping the last couple weeks and every furniture store we looked at wanted an arm and a leg for a good quality crib…never mind the change table which was equally expensive…we were both turned off at the cost of these items.we both started searching online and came across this stork craft portofino 4 in 1 crib, and just by looking and the pictures and online reviews it seemed to good to be true. it was even better when we compared online prices and found amazon.ca to be the cheapest and offered free shipping!!so we ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday which was pretty fast especially considering the Monday was a holiday!!the package arrived in good condition. all the parts were packaged really well.assembly was just “OK” as the instructions were not the greatest. but let me tell you once you have it all assembled you will be amazed and the quality you just bought at a fraction of the cost from the furniture store. this thing is absolutely beautiful and solid. defiantly NOT a cheap piece of furniture. you will not be disappointed with this crib!one word of warning though…this thing is big…and i mean it’s massive and heavy. the pictures online don’t do it justice…take a good look at the measurements before you order and make sure it will fit into the space you want it.i highly recommend this crib.

Looks great in our nursery, we get compliments all the time. Reasonable to assemble, took about 3 hours for my husband. GREAT customer service from stork craft! A couple pieces were cracked/dented from shipping, just called their service hotline, and we had replacement parts in about a week! I like that the service hotline is in Vancouver, staff are very friendly and helpful. :)I wish the screws had some kind of cap/cover, but as the CS staff explained- none do to possible choking hazard- so fair enough! I just painted the screw heads white, just as well!
