Sturdy!
I had a different shower chair for 9 years and it finally broke on me. Fair enough. I’ll just get another. Well, they don’t make that one anymore and this one was the closest one to it. Perfect! Easy to put together – the height is adjustable – the seat is comfy – it’s lightweight and very sturdy. Definitely recommend!

A light, stable, well-built bench that bears a lot of weight.
With multiple joint replacements and an aging body, I use the handicap shower at our local gym. Having been post-surgical many times I became accustomed to using the bench to shower. Being at risk to fall I decided it was time to put a bench in my home shower. I read many reviews and looked at many chairs online. I’ve had this chair for nearly a year now and I love it. It was a tad confusing to build at first but has a distinct order so that parts align properly so I built the chair twice. Seeing that some persons had issues with it collapsing or being unsturdy I fastened everything securely with a very firm hand pressure as I did not want to over tighten or strip any of the fasteners. This chair is extremely sturdy. Both my husband I can use it safely and we are not slight people. I believe if this chair collapsed it wasn’t either built properly or tightened well. If you know you have weak hand strength assistance would be advised to get everything snug and tight. If you don’t realize that indentations go with indentations, get help. …………. While the look of the chair is utilitarian and not “pretty” it does a great job and will last my entire lifetime. I feel safe and secure. The legs of the chair do not slide easily on the tub yet it’s easy enough to relocate. I like not having a back on the seat. My husband faces the faucet but I prefer to face backward once I’ve set the water and have the shower hit my back. Each to their own. Not having a back on the chair isn’t an issue and provides freedom. When not in use I move the chair up next to the faucet and close the curtain leaving it slightly open like I like and it’s not visible. It’s a light, stable, well-built bench. The suction wall handhold works fairly well too. It is NOT meant to be a safety bar. If you use it to bear all your weight and need that this handgrip will fail you. My husband did not realize it wouldn’t bear his weight. It came off the wall and he nearly fell. It does not come off easy but can because it’s not a safety bar. It’s wonderful for providing a place to hold making it easier to balance your own weight and cause you not to wobble as you leave or enter the tub. We follow the instructions and reset it at regular intervals. We’ve not had problems since the one incident with my husband. If you need more stabilization my suggestion is to install medical-grade stabilization equipment rather than risk hurting yourself.

Don’t Fall in the Shower!
So, this shower chair fit the bill (and the width of our tub) nicely. The assembly instructions were simple drawings only, which required some study and trial fitting to get right. Once we figured out the assembly puzzle, the chair went together fairly easily. The legs are reinforced by cross-members, so the weight-supporting capacity of the chair should be as advertised, not that it will ever be subjected to the 500 lb. load limit. The seat is a bit narrow (cost 1 star there), but wide enough to provide full support without anything hanging off the sides. Stability while seated is fine – no wobbling or tipping. The non-slip blue self-adhesive seat pad offers a surprising amount of comfort over what might be expected of the bare plastic seat. Water drainage is quick and pretty thorough, with just a few drops that drip out when the seat is lifted out of the tub. The legs are adjustable, so the chair height can be tailored to work with users of various heights and standing ability. Getting off the chair is fairly easy, although a handrail in the shower enclosure is helpful. Overall, this was a good choice for improved shower safety.

Does the job nicely
I have bought three of these for various locations and they all work fine. The seat is comfortable and the platform is very stable even if you sit near the edge. I probably would take off half a star because like a lot of these home assembly items, the holes don’t really line up. Since all three chairs had the same misalignments, it should be possible for them to get it right. One good thing – no assembly tools needed.

Solid Chair
Good Chair, but the feet wore out and went through the feet. Only a couple of them, but they quickly sent replacements. The feet had structural defects, but they made it right. Thank you, Oasis, appreciate it.

This is a good chair.
This shower chair is very well built. Stout even. It’s actually bigger than it appears in the pictures.I bought this because my wife has serious arthritis issues, and she feels safer sitting in the shower. We’re both pretty big people, I weigh 270. I find myself enjoying a nice sit for a minute when I shower as well.We took it on a long road trip, it breaks down fairly small, and goes together without tools.Very pleased with this purchase.

Exactly the same as it was described in the pictures. Good and strong design. Been using it for months and still good. Happy with this purchase.

The fair is excellent and helped my wife take showers without any strain to her back. The material is sturdy and foam peace is well glued. Assembly was fast, no tools needed.Con:The handle doesn’t stick to small-tile areas. The surface area has to be 100% flat and without any dents, otherwise the handle will fall. Loss of 1-star.

I have tried a few and gotten some really crappy shower chairs. Finally had to Jimmie mine to be able to use it and not safely. Just most don’t fit a normal tub, that holds heavy set people. This one is small but mighty!! For the first time in 4 years had a shower that was pure delight and did not get water all over the floor. Would suggest to keep a close eye on the screws it is all cheaper material so be careful. But so far I am delighted!!!
