The Ellie Baby Car Monitor has a lot of potential with its dual display, wide view, and app control. The daytime video quality is clear, and installation is simple. II’m updating my original review after the seller reached out with an incredibly timely and helpful response to address the concerns I had. Their support alone deserves recognition.First of all, this is still the only baby car monitor I’ve found with truly better color night vision compared to other brands. The 2K UHD video quality during the day is crisp, clear, and noticeably superior.Previously, I mentioned that the face tracking and auto-zoom felt overly sensitive. It would sometimes zoom in on any movement — for example, if you have a captain’s chair in the second row and someone sitting in the third row, the camera might lock onto the third-row passenger along with the baby. The seller clarified that this behavior comes from the software trying to optimize the frame for monitoring two children at once, which is actually one of the unique advantages of this model.Unlike other products that require dual cameras and a split-screen setup, this monitor can show two babies (whether rear-facing or front-facing) in a single combined view. Once I understood the logic behind the face-tracking behavior and how to fine-tune settings, the overall experience improved a lot.With the seller’s guidance and the product’s standout video quality, this monitor has become a solid 5-star choice for me.

Good quality without too many Accessories
Camera quality was great. Loved it. Problem was with a Tesla M3 there are no metal bars to secure to. I had to purchase a $10 action cam head mount to secure around the backseat head rest to use for a rear facing infant. The camera mount and head mount fit will that I didn’t have to glue it.The windshield mount fit the screen monitor is no good though. Screw us pretty short so it barely fits. You need to remove the knob from the mount to secure it and then screw it into the socket. Any other way didn’t work too well. The screw cap is cheap plastic so if you don’t get it exact it’s a bit if a struggle

Great Car Baby Monitor
This monitor is perfect! My wife and I both have one in our cars and love it. The set up was easy, way better than other cameras we tried. This car baby monitor has been a really helpful addition for our drives. Do not recommend horrible night preformance.
The app didn’t do anything on my android. Camra picture was OK, auto zoom was annoying especially for rear facing car seat, would zoom in on my shoulder if baby wasn’t super active. The ultimate thing that pushed the low review was the night vision. It needs some ambient light to work if no traffic behind or not wanting to leave a light on can’t see anything in the camera. The mounts for the monitor are absolutely terrible, need a flat horizontal surface to mount to with 2 tiny doubl stick rubber contraptions. Thankfully ended up using a clamp style cellphone vent mount instead. Camra mount concept is good but arm materials feel cheap and not the most stable, fearful of breaking the arm getting it snug enough not to wobel everywhere. Bought this as a second unit to eliminate the need to transfer a cheaper setup between cars. Save your self some headache and buy a cheaper unit with less features that ultimately functions better in my opinion. Would have given it -1 stars if it wasn’t for Amazon returns; rescued me from having to live with this purchase.
