Easy to use and set up
At first, I was skeptical because I thought I would have to use a drill, but turns out, you don’t really need to. Also, when I was opening it, I was rushing it and cut ALL the zip ties, even the one I wasn’t supposed to cut before setting it up. However, even with that zip tie cut, it still works great. It is easy to close (even for a toddler), and easy to use for an adult. My dogs can’t get their heads stuck in it or jump over it (They are fairly large dogs though, so smaller dogs might get stuck. So it’s safer for bigger dogs). The length fits our hallway perfectly and is very stable even with the extender. My toddler can’t push it down and we assembled it without the caps you drill in the wall. And trust me, my 3 year old tried his very best to shake it down when we set it up and got trapped on the other side of the gate. We even bought a second one for our staircase since my infant is getting ready to crawl and is moving in her exersaucer. The only complaint I have is I wish the door would open all the way and not at 90°. The door at that angle can catch on things, like clothing, purses, and other things hanging. However, it is a small inconvenience. Overall, it’s a great product, and I am very pleased to how stable, easy, and safe it is.

This is an attractive looking, sturdy little gate. For the price, I thought it’d be flimsy, but its sturdy and has the audacity to open both ways, stay open, and lock when swung closed.Its easy to install, but also easy to screw up. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE CUTTING THE ZIP TIES OFF PPL! 😅.

Walk through door!!! Well designed and great quality!
We bought this to prevent our dog from falling down the stairs (she’s going blind). It’s better than I expected! The walk-through door makes it easy to still access the basement stairs for humans. Great quality. Easy to set up. Highly recommend!!!

for $30, didn’t expect much. BIG surprise. they are very well made, fit well, and operate flawlessly. I have 3 units now, to completely enclose a room. Only down side, all three boxes where torn open during shipping. …..some parts missing. I got by with what did show up.

I’m really impressed with the BalanceFrom Easy Walk-Thru Baby and Pet Safety Gate. It was super easy to install — no drilling required,(optional if wanted) which is a huge plus for renters or anyone who doesn’t want to damage their walls. I put this up recently as my son and 2-yr-old grandson are coming for a visit soon. I have an older, very fearful border collie who is terrified of children, so the challenge was to find ways to keep both parties safe. I set this gate up between my kitchen and entrance to the bedrooms, and have to say, not only was it a very easy install (yes, please do heed the instructions about keeping the gate secured with the provided ties until the entire thing is up), but wow, once up it is SOLID. I leaned on it, wiggled it, and there was absolutely no give to it. I erected this one without using the the little wall cups (provided for extra security) and it doesn’t need them. That said, I’d definitely use them if the gate was to be used around stairs.Gate has a good height, the metal is VERY sturdy, and the automatic gate closure is a nice feature as well (yes, it does clang a bit if left to close on its own, but manually closing should prevent some of that). It would also, I imagine, be quite difficult for a toddler to open this gate with the two-point push-and-lift requirement (even for me, it takes a bit of extra effort to do so) so that too is a nice feature for anyone with children.All told, I now have three baby gates set up, and so far, this one is the best of the three.
