We absolutely love this brand of baby gates. We have tried several brands and this has been the one that fits our needs the best. We have an autistic toddler so keeping certain areas of the house blocked off for his safety is essential and these gates have been lifesavers. They look nice and are easy for adults to open, but not our son. They are reasonably priced, sturdy, easy to install and keep our child safe. They are stable when our son leans against them and tries to open them. We have cats and they are still able to get where they need to be.

Aussie Puppy Proof – Great Product!
Hello. With the arrival of a 3-month old Aussie in the home, dog gates are a must to contain the cute, but rambunctious, high throttle, and full-time energy puppy. I usually dont write reviews, but this product was 100% spot on the money. Honestly, I always start when reading reviews, with the Four Stars, because lets face it, nothing is perfect. Here are bullets for your quick perusal.The Good (in no particular order):1. The size options are optimal options for almost any indoor doorway.2. The gate durability, craftsmenship and design are very sturdy, stable, and long lasting.3. Hardware is ideal and easy to assemble within the gate and by hand screw turns to press against the door frame.4. The gate stays very firmly in place. I had purchased other similar models from Regalio gates and they were always a struggle to keep in place, either with humans pushing too hard on the gate or the dog, allowing them to fall over with a firm push.5. The door opens easily in either direction, when pushing down on the button and lifting the door to and from.The Bad – honestly, I have had the gate over a week, and have yet to find a negative. If one surfaces, I will update this section.Overall – the weight, sturdiness, color and effectiveness of the product is two thumbs up, and yes of course, 4 stars.

Solid, looks good – some points to consider
I loved that it looked like wood, so visually it’s much more appealing. It arrived undamaged to Hawaii which is a feat in itself – so yippee for that! You’ll want to read the instruction cards that are zip tied to the gate – one says NOT to cut until you install and that the gate will look BENT until it’s installed. We made this initial mistake – cut the zip ties – and my husband was about to “bend it back” since he thought the gate must have bent during shipping. Lucky I read the card (men and their aversion to instructions – haha) which tells you why it looks bent. The zip tie that shouldn’t be cut until installation simply prevents the door from swinging while installing – so it wasn’t a major problem, just held it for him until it was installed. As you install the gate, the gate door will align as you increase the tension screws which holds it in place. It does provide an option to screw it into the wall if you want, it also has incremental gate pieces to include if your space is wider, or you incrementally remove pieces if your space is narrower. One thing I over looked is that there will always be a bottom bar flush with the floor across the entire width of the gate I was afraid someone might trip but because you have to stop and open the gate, people seem to see the bottom bar, and it’s not very high so it’s not been an issue – but be aware of that. As for the swing of the gate – it’s awesome because it can easily swing 90 degrees in either direction, the swing is smooth and the magnetic catch/lock works smoothly as well. I also like the latch to open the gate which fits your hand easily – you use your thumb and fingers – the motion is like you’re grabbing something. I haven’t noticed a way to lock the gate (ironically my aversion to instructions – haha), not sure since I threw away the instructions. It serves our needs as it is. Overall we all like the piece, it arrived undamaged, was easy to install, is sturdy, functions smoothly and it looks a lot nicer than many of the other gates. Aloha!

Almost perfect
Love this gate. It looks nice and fits my aesthetic, easy to set up, easy to use but not too easy for toddlers to get it open, and the perfect height to keep my dogs contained when needed.However, the bottom latch does not automatically click into place. I have to push it in to get it to go in its groove. Kind of makes it not an easy close gate and the dogs have discovered and capitalized on this flaw.

It’s the best baby gate I’ve installed, as it is solid and works perfectly. You just need to set it up correctly – make sure it is firmly in place, and then snip the zip ties. But if you screw up and need to re-set it (after snipping the zip ties), you’ll quickly see that the gate will need to be fastened back as it was… but this is best done with a clamp – easy done. You can use the spare zip ties they provided to hold it fastened, or simply leave the clamps on as you set the whole unit in place.
